Yamaha Drums

Yamaha drums are considered to be one of the very top drum manufacturers around, and have been for decades. I guess it shouldn't be a suprise when you think how super-rich the company is. With more than 40 years of drum making experience, Yamaha know how a quality drum set should sound.

The range begins with their starter set, the Hip Gig Junior, and ends with the top-of-the-range PHX. Check 'em out.

PHX

The PHX leads the way as the top-of-the-range set available from Yamaha drums. With no expense spared, this represents the very best that they have to offer. Unfortunately we haven't got a review for this set yet - Write a review.

Recording Custom

The Recording Custom is an all Birch set offering an attacking sound, and has been designed with the studio drummer in mind. In fact, Yamaha say it's the most recorded set in the world! Yamaha Recording Custom.

Absolute Maple

This is Yamaha's 100% Maple offering and it has a warm, resonant, and slightly punchy sound. There are a lot of Yamaha's usual top-end features on this set, plus vent holes in the shells for an added twist. Yamaha Maple Absolute.

Absolute Birch

One of the higher priced sets in the range. It's a 100% Birch version of the Absolute Maple and has the features and finish options. So, how does it sound? Unfortunately we haven't got a review yet - Write a review.

Oak Custom

If you are looking for a unique drum set, the Oak Custom might be worth a look. With qualities somewhere between maple and birch, this set has a solid, powerful sound that set can really pack a punch. Yamaha Oak Custom.

Tour Custom

The Tour Custom has 100% Maple shells, and gives a warm and resonant sound. The set has 60-degree bearing edges too, that boost the low-end. With a choice of some nice finishes, it's proved to be a popular set. Yamaha Tour Custom.

Stage Custom

Great for playing in live situations, the Stage Custom Birch has a warm, but attacking sound. It can be bought as a shell pack only, or with some hardware included. But does it beat out the competition? Yamaha Stage Custom.

Hip Gig Junior
