Tama Starclassic Bubinga Drum Kit
I'm in my early 40's and have been drumming for about 10 years. At this stage of life I can afford to splurge on myself and have always had good quality gear.
I had always had it in mind to one day buy a DW Collectors but hadn't found one locally that interested me enough. When I first laid eyes on my 6 piece Tama Starclassic Bubinga limited edition I knew I had found my kit.
These drums are drop dead gorgeous, the nicest I have seen. Mine have the dark wood colour with a band of abalone all the way round each drum, hence the limited edition.
As far as I know there's only 1 other kit like it in Canada. After setting it up and hearing it, I was sold. I traded in my faithfull Yamaha Birch Custom Absolute and haven't regreted a second.
I just dont see a down side to these drums. They may be a little more rock oriented than some, but that's what i'm about. Tama may not have the sexyness of DW, but they're every bit as good.
