Tama Superstar Hyperdrive

I'm currently looking for a 2nd kit and tried out a Tama Superstar Hyperdrive. It is the 2010 model which is NOW all birch instead of the birch/basswood mix of previous models.

I must say that I expected more from this kit than I got given its high end forged hoops and other hardware that is from the Starclassic line.

The price wasn't too bad but for the money I was quoted I believe that there are better sets out there from other manufacturers.
