Moonie
Keith Moon - Now I understand his limited technique, but nothing sounded better than a Who song on the radio. Like Ringo and the Beatles you cannot think of Who songs without him.
Topper Headon - with Tory Crimes the Clash are powerful punk/garage band. With Topper they are tremendous
Bernard Purdie - didn't know his name, but early Steely Dan AND Aretha? Okay one of my favorites too.
Al Jackson - time is tight.
Levon Helm - perfect for every Band song.
Stevie Wonder - he could do it all, including play perfect drum parts.
Jerry Alison - Peggy Sue, Not Fade Away, etc.
Max Weinberg - Darkness on the Edge of Town
Jody Stephens - O My Soul and all the other perfect songs of #1 Record and Radio City.
Chris.
